Top 10 Grammable London Restaurants by Yum Yum Food
In our quest to find the most lit and grammable restaurants in London, we made a Greek pilgrimage to Nico’s in Soho. This place is totally bougee and bussin. A complete authentic Aegean atmosphere. Down an aqua blue and pristine white staircase, like climbing down the steps of Santorini.
Inside it’s vibe is sexy rainforest chic. A sprawling canopy of flowers and plants are lit by hundreds of twinkling lights. Perfect for a glamorous pic or two. The colour scheme is bold and vibrant, a dazzling sensory experience. Lots of pink to inspire our inner Barbie. We had the full crew with us, so lots of gorgeous pics. All very brat summer!
There is graffiti on the walls. The good stuff not the bad stuff. The lighting is at the right level, it almost feels sensual. The sounds transport us to a beach club in Mykonos, on a warm and sultry night, listening to chillin tunes kissed by the breeze.
Of course, we kick things off with an Aperol Spritz, zesty orange and grapefruit, still punching after all these years at the top. The vibrant orange colour perfect for a snap with the girls.
To get us off and running we start with Halloumi popcorn, fiendishly moreish.
Then it’s small plates all the way, amirite. We have beautiful feta and spinach pastries, tender grilled octopus from the Ionian Sea, mini bite size souvlaki. There are dips and then there are Nico dips. Tear yourself a little square of pitta, give it a dollop of dip, and it’s off to heaven baby.
A special shout out to the Adonis who served us, no wonder Aphrodite fell for him, a thing of hard ab’s and sculpted beauty. He even shared a shot of Raki with us, the little rascal.
We celebrate our friendship circle with Veuve Clicqout, the grand dame of the champagne world. At Yum Yum we love strong female role models, and Madame Barbe was the first woman ever to own a champagne house.
So, there you have it. A glamorous little afternoon in a restaurant that crashes in to our Top Ten.
Till the next time, guys, and gals.
Much Love,
Poppy & Daisy.
